  • When Actions Speak Louder Than Words: Finding the Courage to Love

Telling someone you love them can be daunting, especially when you fear they'll leave once you open up. But when you know in your heart that they're the one for you, it's worth taking the risk. The person may be different from those who've hurt you in the past. They consistently help you grow, challenge you to think differently, and are kind despite claiming to have a "black heart." Their actions show they care, even though they don't say "I love you." It's natural to feel scared when confessing your feelings, but remember that actions speak louder than words. This person may not express their love verbally, but their behavior reveals their true emotions. If you're afraid of being left behind, it's important to communicate your fears and needs with your partner. Let them know what you need from them to feel safe and secure in the relationship. They may need time to process their own emotions, but a healthy and strong relationship is built on open and honest communication. Remember, love is not something to be afraid of. It's a beautiful and fulfilling emotion that can bring immense joy to our lives. If this person is truly your soulmate, they will accept your love and return it in their own unique way. So, take a deep breath, gather your courage, and tell them how you feel. Embrace the uncertainty and trust that things will work out in the end. You never know, this person might be feeling the same way as you. Take care my loves ♥

  • Quick Snack: Nutella and Ice Cream

Probably will take you less than 5 minutes to do. So it's hot, middle of summer or you just want a little snacky snack. Simplest thing... Not a huge discovery but it's still delicious. Here's a delightful simple delicacy that you'll thank me for later so.. O_O you're welcome. Your List of Ingredients Favorite vanilla Ice cream of Choice (or whatever flavor you're feeling) Nutella Step 1: The Microwave Take a few tablespoons or less of Nutella and place is a microwavable safe bowl at least 10-20 second increments for about 1 minute or less. Step 2: The end result. Once the nutella melts, place on top of your ice cream and enjoy! Conclusion Nutella is delicious and you'll love this...too much. It is the most simplest recipe on the planet considering you're not making anything other than melting; BUT definitely a great option to offer to people rather than just plain old "cookies and cream" Ice cream.

  • The Rollercoaster Ride

You know what we're about to dive into, right? No?! Well, if the title didn't give it away, I don't know what will. We're talking about relationships. Whether it's with your partner, someone you're dating, or your best friend(s), we all go through ups and downs. There are moments of conflict where disagreements arise, and let's be real here, sometimes hurtful things can be said. But is it ever okay to dismiss the other person's feelings and just focus on our own? Nope, not at all. Over the years, I've come to realize that having meaningful conversations and creating an open space to express emotions and truly listen is far better than simply waiting for your turn to speak. It's perfectly fine to feel how you feel, but it's all about how you approach it. I must admit, I'm guilty of bringing up serious conversations at the most random times. My timing can be horrendous—I'm working on it, though, haha! But the important thing is to acknowledge that being open and discussing our feelings is far healthier than bottling them up and saying nothing. However, it's up to the other person to decide how they'll react after the fact. So, what happens after a conflict can either make or break the relationship. And honestly, sometimes you may not find a middle ground right away or ever. What truly matters is that both of you know you're there for each other, through the ups and downs (pun intended). Now, I'm no relationship guru—I'm still learning, especially from the less-than-stellar relationships I've been in. But I still hold onto hope. Despite how rough things can get, we can make it through. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that the right people who enter your life never leave in a negative way. If they do have to part ways, go on a different path, or exit your life, it's always out of love and care, never with ill intent. So, through the thick and thin, the highs and lows, I love you, and I hope we can go the extra mile and beyond together.

  • Can't decide weather I need coffee, A hug or a nap...

I'm coming to you live! Sick, tired and dosed on DayQuil/ or NightQuil. Just kidding I am taking the right dosage and I have been sleeping way too much in my opinion. I don't know what it is about this year's pollen season in Florida, but Mother Nature is having too much fun, and I don't approve. Anyway the reason I'm writing about this is because before I got sick, I have been feeling slightly, unfinished. And by this I mean, I feel like my job-life is getting...interesting. I can't say much on this topic as I work for a company for which I cannot name because I will get fired and I need my job. But sometimes I feel that no matter how far I've come in working in corporate America, I always end up getting the shorter end of the stick. Two things generally happen, I land a good job that I like and enjoy working with my colleagues then the one colleagues that made life easier leaves, shit hits the fan and then the job becomes 4x harder because now they're starting to get too far into "micromanaging" that they forget we're human. Or I get the job and then they have the expectation that I'm supposed to remember everything and do all the job flawlessly within 6 months of being hired.... someone please explain to me this logic because why....jus why? I feel that nowadays corporate America has changed with allowing more people to work from home, I guess that's just a caveat that comes with the job. But at what cost is this? Maybe I'm just going through my own phase of depression that has never been diagnosed *shrugs*. Or I overworked myself so much in my earlier twenties that I'm here now thinking "Nah there has got to be a better way to earn better income, be at peace and wake up knowing that I'm happy where I because that's where I'm supposed to be". Sometimes I think to myself, why do companies do this to their employees knowing that they know half the knowledge or only 1/4th of the knowledge of everyone else, and then expect them to function as someone who's been with the organization and company for 50+ years. I have never been diagnosed with a learning disability but I generally get things on the spot as long I'm doing the work, my downfall is analytical aspect of it. That's where I make most of my mistakes because I'm a hands on learner. I feel like I should have gone into a different field where it would not required me to think of the in between but to just fix it and move on... These are just thoughts that go through my mind sometimes because I know there so much more to life than working a 8 to 5, killing yourself to make ends meet and then still not having enough.... Am I alone on this one or am I just overthinking...as I normally do? Feel free to leave your thoughts on this below and let's start a conversation about this.

  • The Golden Honey Butter

GOOD MORNING! It's time to RISE AND SHINE! I was making breakfast this morning and it crossed my mind that there was this one specific recipe that I loved that has TWO ingredients and will change your butter biscuit game altogether. When I was just a wee lad, my father had a friend who would always invite us over to hangout with his family. In any case (yes this is my go to phrase), one day we had to stay the night over mainly because we went to Bush Gardens that day and were tired as hell, so come the next morning my friends father and wife made us breakfast. And lawed he surpassed my expectation as a 14 year old. They gave us pancakes, biscuits, eggs, toasted, bacon, ham, sausage link and then the GOLDEN honey butter. This blew my mind when I first tried it. To say the least, I was shooketh. At first when I was introduced to it I couldn't picture both the ingredients together but IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS YOU NEED TOO! All you need is two simple ingredients (with the exception of seasoning) The Honey Butter Recipe: Honey (Local honey preferred ⭐) Unsalted Butter Pinch of salt Once you've gathered your ingredients, grab a bowl and mix everything together. For storing, this should not go bad, so you can either leave out in a airtight container on your counter top (away from the stove please) or put it in the fridge. Up to you honestly. A couple notes to consider: Make sure the butter is completely room temperature because it is a bitch to work with when it's cold...Don't believe me? Try making puff pastry without a machine to help. Why unsalted butter? The reason why I like to use Unsalted butter is because you can control the amount of sodium content. Plus, you can use unsalted butter to make clarified butter which is often used in restaurants and it's easy to make. By the way, you can choose to use whatever honey you have on hand. Local honey is just better ok. Trust me on this lol. Suggestions: Here are some ways you can use this lovely Honey Butter, the list is endless but to give you some examples on what you can put on it here's a list for you: Pancakes Buttery biscuit Toasted bread of choice Pan Sobao (Puerto Rican Sweet bread) Corn Bread Corn on the Cob (why not?) Puff pastry rolls with cream cheese (add this at the end when you've just taken it out of the oven) Anything bread or pastry related will work, but if can think of any more ideas of where to slap this simple and delicate Honey Butter, feel free to comment on this post :D. Now! Go on and make this Golden Honey Butter recipe. Your husband, Situationship or boyfriend will gladly love you for it. Unless they're a picky eater then I can't help you there. Next post may be about cinnamon rolls :D...who knows stay tuned though ^_^. See you in my next post!

  • Breakfast Talk

Good Morning my happy people!! So..quick question for you. How many of you actually eat breakfast? I generally do but not until a few hours after I wake up and have gotten ready. I even have my breakfast at my desk because I just don’t like to consume things 30-minutes before a shift. I don’t know if it’s because of a habit or I just don’t care for food in the morning. I have my breakfast normally around what, like 10:00am? Or so. By then I’m fully awake...Talk about a slow starter. So immediately after I realize I need to eat the first thing that pops into my head is “I need coffee”. The very frugal and famous word being used now a days. #coffeeislife I like my coffee how I like my men….just kidding I was not going to reference anything inappropriate in any way ha! *ehem* Anyway...I like my coffee how they say it in the streets “Cafécito con Leche” or…Milk and coffee with an unnecessary amount of sugar. Listen that’s my source of dopamine in the mornings, let me be happy. BUT! The cool thing about the sugar is that I’ve opted out regular sugar for Monkfruit sugar, like this one..here :D (Disclaimer: This product is not sponsored but some of the item(s) mentioned in this article will have affiliate links ♥) This is my go to for everything and no I don’t care for keto or dieting, I care for what I put in my body is going to be decent enough where I can still enjoy the things I like. The best part is that it is low in calorie and it tastes good or even better! Bang for your health buck, why not ? Ok so let’s cut to the real reason you’re here, WHAT ARE THE RECIPE IDEAS WOMAN?!! Well to be honest they’re not recipe’s they’re just things I put together because I know my body and what my caloric intake should be (at least in my opinion, I’m no foodologist here). So here’s what I generally have for breakfast. Wait until you read the last one, you are going to thank me later! FYI Don’t ask for measurements because I measure by eye. I don’t use measuring cups unless if it’s an unknown recipe or I’m baking. 1. Café con Leche, Thin bagel, Cream cheese and eggs. This is basically my go to for almost every morning or every other morning. Why? First off I already feel luxurious already because prices in eggs have skyrocketed. Secondly, I just think it’s good combination in flavors, you get the sweet, the savory and bread helps to just make things better in between. 2. Oatmeal Ok this one’s pretty much a given. But how I make mine is with milk, monkfruit sugar, Cinnamon and vanilla extract. I’m hoping most of you do it this way because that’s how I was taught to do it growing up. You could also make the oatmeal savory too by the way. Just use water, salt and pepper, make yourself a nice over easy egg, hard boiled or scrambled (whatever your preference is on that one) add some le’bacon (turkey or normal bacon) and drink with some Orange Juice. You’re welcome! I accept donations in thank you and reposts lol 3. Cornmeal Porridge Yup, you read that right. Cornmeal Porridge because I don’t know the actual English term for it. In Spanish it is called “Maicena de Maiz”. It’s the same concept as the sweet version of oatmeal but you use fine yellow or white cornmeal instead. Then you add milk, sugar and vanilla vanilla. Just don’t add the cinnamon. Oddly enough I slap some American or cheddar cheese on there. It sounds weird but TRUST ME it is delicious. 4. Matcha Latte with Greek Yogurt Now that sounds healthy right? That’s because it is lol. Did you know that Match is actually a good substitute for coffee? No? well now you know. Not a lot of people like it, but I sure do when I feel like I need to reduce my coffee intake. I really only just take on cup a day of coffee....sometimes. For the Greek Yogurt I like to add cinnamon, vanilla extract and some fruits to it or granola. The way I make my yogurt was shown to me by someone who loves to cook too. I always used to have it plain and hated it till I tried this :D. #winwin 5. Thin Bagel w/ Cream cheese, Capers ,Smoked Salmon and over easy egg (or poached) I leave the best for last!! My friends, if you want to feel like you just had a meal at a restaurant, try this! This is kind of like my version of an eggs benedict and yes, I stole this from one of my old jobs in which I will not disclose. But you can even switch this up even more and use a nice buttery biscuit! Guys I can go on and on about altering recipes. Hence why I have this section, so I can rant out my recipe ideas, try them and if you hate it or like it let me know. To summarize everything, I eat what I feel is right for me and what I want so long it’s proportioned equally and not overeating. Yes on the weekends I don’t care for it but during the week when I’m most productive, I steer away from putting anything in my body that is harmful. Except for wine…wine is good anytime of day...👀 In any case, I must bid you adieu because I'm hungry now. Thank you for taking the time to read this article and please help support this site by sharing this article, referencing the site. Appreciate all the support and have a beautimous rest of your day ♥.

  • Welcome to the Shenanigan's!

What's my Story...That's quite the topic to start off as a first post, right? To give you a little context of who I am, what I do, and why I'm here writing this..let's take it back 50 years go...I'm kidding it's not that far! My name is Edirmarie Rivera, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico up until the age of 9 years old. Then my life took quite a turn. By this I mean I moved to a little state called "Le'florida". I can't say I lived the happiest life when I moved here but that's another topic for another day *wink*. From there well...I lived life growing up, got knocked down a couple of times, got back up 30x more and I'm still here so better to keep going forwards than backward. I am a fully employed human that still goes to school by the way and let me tell you, I barely have a moment to breathe. Just ask my dog she’ll tell you… “This bitch barely home and I gots to poo”. If she had a voice I can guarantee you she’ll probably tell you that and then some haha! Apart from my hectic life, I love figure skating as a way to decompress...to avoid having to go to jail for beating someone's ass for *insert your reasons here*. I do like arts and crafts, and painting, I just like to explore my creativity. With that being said...Why am I joining the blogging bandwagon? Curiosity and I just want to build a community of big support. And No! it is not for me, I feel in life we lack the support we need and the realism in how life is nowadays. Most of the time you see people on social media showing the “perfect life” and I am here to tell you, even Ariana Grande has gone through her troubles and tribulations, she just doesn’t globally post it. Well…she kind of did, she did a Netflix film *shrug*. Personally, I don’t have an offer at my front door from Netflix asking me to post about my life lol. Regardless, NO ONE IS PERFECT. In any case, that’s enough to rant about that… We are here to have fun, learn, experience, embrace the changes that come through life and hope that you’ll join me for the ride!! Welcome one and all and see you in the next post! :D
